A new year means new offerings and I’m stoked to share this latest incarnation in the “Stay Connected” series, now in larger than life sculptural laser cut paintings. It’s my first release of 2021.
THE BACKSTORY
You may recall that last April I released a series of small LEGO brick paintings under the theme of “Staying Connected”. It was my way of bringing some light into a year that was full of uncertainty and distance, and your response was amazing and humbling. By year end I had painted nearly 100 pieces, and with your support was able to provide over 3000 meals to those in need through Feeding America. My latest series aims to keep that energy going!
ABOUT THESE PAINTINGS
Each laser cut painting is approximately 9”x12” and to kick off this new release, I’m starting off with 4 color variants. The initial two color variants are Black on Black and White on White. They are both open editions offered for $300 each. Subsequent variants, like Pink on Orange and Mint Chocolate, are limited editions offered for $375 each. Only 4 of each of these limited color variants will be available to the public – signed and numbered. So when they’re gone, that’s it. Each month I’ll be releasing new limited edition color variants.
HOW YOUR PURCHASE HELPS
I was blown away by your response to the release of the initial Stay Connected paintings last year. That support made a huge difference in my life and the lives of others. Despite us all being a little worn out from the challenges of last year I really want to keep that same incredible energy going and keep paying it forward with these new collectible pieces. I will continue to donate a portion of the proceeds of every sale to @feedingamerica. This is a tireless group that elevates the plight of hungry families and fights hunger through a robust and dedicated nationwide network of food banks, school-based food pantries and emergency disaster relief services.
Stay strong and stay connected out there my friends. Your efforts and support keep me inspired, and that means the world to me.
All the best from downtown LA.
